About

The Good News Association is a collaboration of Christian Pastors and community leaders committed to the advancement of the Gospel of Gods Grace through church wide prayer gatherings and strategic service projects aimed at fulfilling the unmet needs of our neighbors so that the love of Christ can become tangible to those outside of faith but close to the heart of God.

What We Believe

Essential beliefs – we are called to have unity.
John 13:34-35 Amplified Bible (AMP)
34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you  love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.   By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another."

Ephesians 4:4-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
4 There is one body [of believers] and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when called [to salvation]— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of us all who is [sovereign] over all and [working] through all and [living] in all.

THE SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible, Old Testament and New Testament, is the divinely inspired, infallible, inerrant, authoritative treasure of God's truths for Christian beliefs and living. Our primary source for faith, doctrine and practice.
Exodus 24:4 / Deuteronomy 17:19 / Jerimiah 15:16 / 2Timothy 3:16-17 / 2Peter 1:20-21 / Psalms 12:6 / Psalms 119:105, 160 / Proverbs 30:5

THE TRINITY
We believe there is only one living true God. Infinitely existing eternally in three distinct co-equal persons.  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit without division of being, nature or essence.
Genesis 1:1-31 / 2 Corinthians 13:14 / Colossians 2:9 / Matthew 28:19 / Matthew 3:16-17 / Romans 14:17-18

GOD
We believe God is the ever existent, eternal, the creator and ruler of the universe.  All powerful, all knowing, all loving and all wise.  Reigning as one God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.  Who cares over humanity and those who by faith in Jesus Christ have become His children.  God the Father is the Master Planner who's plans are implemented by Jesus, God the Son , and are brought to completion by God, the Holy Spirit.  He sent the Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins and the Holy Spirit to help, guide and empower us in our Christian walk.
Genesis 1:1 / Psalm 90:2 / Isaiah 43:15 / Matthew 28:19 / Acts 1:7 / 1 Peter 1:2

JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Son of God co-equal with God the Father.  The Christ taking upon himself human nature, born of a virgin, lived a sinless miracle working life, and died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.  Resurrected bodily from death on the third day demonstrating His power over sin and death.  He ascended into heaven to prepare a place for us.  Sitting at the right hand of the Father interceding and advocating for us as we await His glorious, redemptive return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Defeating  death and Satan he will judge the living and the dead and establish His Kingdom.
John 1:1-5 / Matthew 1:18 / 2 Corinthians 5:21 / Acts 10:38 / 1John 2:2 / Luke 24:39 / Hebrews 4:14 / 1Thessalonians 4:16-18 / Revelation 20:6 / 1Timothy 2:5

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe as part of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Son as God.  He provides believers with understanding of spiritual truths, guidance and power for Christian living.  Present in the world from the moment of salvation dwelling in and imparting gifts to every believer for ministry to the church and the world.  Making mankind aware of their sin and need for Jesus Christ.
John 16:8-13 /Romans 8:9 / 1Corinthians 12:12-14 / 2Corinthians 3:6 / Ephesians 1:13-14 / 1John 2:20, 27

SALVATION
We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance from sin, redemption, transformation and deliverance of the total man is available freely to all who believe in Jesus Christ. Apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ there is no new birth, no redemption, no salvation, no regeneration, no justification, no sanctification, no glorification and no expectancy for eternal life in the presence of God.
Matthew 1:12 / Luke 1:68-69 / John 1:11-14 / Acts 2:21 / Romans 1:16-17 / 1Corithians 1:30 / Galatians 2:20 / Ephesians 1:7 / 1Peter 1: 2-23 / Revelation 22:5

THE KINGDOM
We believe Kingdom of God is within us, it is the sovereign rule, reign and authority of God in the life of believers.  It manifests on earth as we faithfully obey Christ and His teachings.
Psalm 103:19 / Daniel 2:44 /Matthew 6:9-13 / Luke 17:20-21 / Revelation 11:15

THE CHURCH
We believe not being a building Jesus Christ will return for His "One Church – One Bride – One Body" made up of all born-again individuals.  Spiritually united Christ followers are called to glorify God and make Him known to a lost world.
John 17:20-23 / 1Corinthians 12:12-14 / 2Corinthians 11:2 / Ephesians 1:22-23 / Colossians 1:8 / Matthew 28:18-20
